11 Small ways to support detoxification and healthy living every day
Warm Lemon Water + Herbal Teas
Drink a glass of water when you wake up - start your day with a glass of room temperature water (filtered or spring water if possible) add the juice of half a lemon which helps with digestion, alkalizing the body, and detoxifying. Drinking enough water is one of the most manageable, measurable goals you can set for yourself.
Dry Brushing
excellent for lymphatic system, circulation, flushing out toxins, and more. Before showering brush your body head to toe using a soft bristle brush with long strokes towards the heart.
Greens
Eat or drink something green every day. Try to add in a greens powder, green juice or vegetable, or a blue/green superfood like spirulina or chlorella
Tongue Scrape
Get a tongue scraper - cleans your mouth, removes bacteria, assists detoxification, achieves better breath. Your tongue is a pathway of elimination for toxins in the body
Movement
Move your body - stretching or yoga for 10-15 min, a daily walk, or a quick workout that can just be simple like 20 push ups, 20 sit ups, 20 burpees (or whatever amount is good for you). If you don't have a daily workout try and make a point to add in 15-30 minutes a day to do some kind of workout or exercise, the small things add up and makes a big difference. Breaking a sweat once a day is a good goal, the skin is our largest organ and it is an important pathway for our bodies to release toxins.
Grounding in Nature
Go outside for a bit.. especially if it's sunny but even if you don't feel like it and it's cold or raining, it always makes you feel better. Walk barefoot on the earth if possible.
No one ever regret going for a walk in the forest or to the river, or a jog around the block, or go up for a couple laps on the mountain if you snowboard or ski.
Fresh Organic Foods
Add in fresh foods that make you feel good- for me that is big delicious salads, smoothies with protein and greens powder, lots of fresh fruit and veggies, and cold pressed juice. I don't promote a specific cleanse diet but if you want you can follow whatever one feels best for you on this program. For dietary detox the three categories of foods most important to avoid, in order to assist your body's natural detoxification systems are

-processed foods
-foods with an excess of refined or fake sugars
Starting by eliminating or reducing foods from these categories can also come with added weight loss benefits.
Hydrotherapy
Cold water stimulates causing constriction in the blood vessels, and hot water relaxes causing the blood vessels to dilate. The alternation between hot and cold creates a flushing action and can stimulate circulation, decrease inflammation, remove waste from tissues, and increase toxin elimination. An easy way to incorporate this is alternating between hot and cold water in the shower every 30 seconds. If you have access to a hot tub or sauna and a cold plunge this is also a great option.

10. Healthy Home and Living Space

11. Intermittent Fasting
Fasting gives your body a break and diverts energy from the necessary automatic function of digestion to other areas of the body that need healing. Intermittent fasting is an easy way to get some of the benefits of fasting without feeling deprived of food. This gives you 16 hours a day to rest and reset your digestive system and divert that energy elsewhere needed in the body. Once you start doing this regularly it feels really good and is easy to stay on that schedule naturally.
